Galaxy Angel Season 2

   First, let me make a few corrections to my previous post about Galaxy
   Angel. Mint isn't a cat-girl... she's a girl with rabbit ears. I don't
   think they made that as clear in the first series. The commander has a
   name, which they finally put in the opening. It's Volcott, for those
   who really want to know.

   Anyway, I think the difference betwene GA2 and the first season is
   that this season is more confident in itself, and willing to branch
   out from the simpler humor of the first series. The writers seem more
   willing to experiment, and deal with things like lost technology and
   the history of Galaxy Angel. Coupled with the expected improvement in
   animation, the result is a better season.

   This season actually deals with lost technology, normally by having
   the main characters ingest it. Characters become unlucky, get trapped
   in costume, and wind up on the series that became Most Extreme
   Elimination. (All in different episodes.) There is an episode in which
   the characters never leave their spacefighters. There is a hilarious
   sendup of combining giant robot shows.

   Galaxy Angel 2 is sci-fi comedy done right. I'll call this a good
   series, and recommend it over its predecessor. I think it may stand
   well alone, without depending on the first series.
