Galaxy Angel Season 1

   Galaxy Angel is a very light SF comedy series, starring the members of
   the "Angel Brigade", a group of five girls who theoretically have the
   mission of recovering lost technology. The core cast consists of the
   newest member, Milfuelle, who likes cooking and has the power of good
   luck; Cosplaying cat-girl Mint; quiet cat-girl Vanilla H;
   wannabe-psychic martial artist Ranpha, and the gunslinging weapons
   expert leader Forte. Other interesting characters are their commander
   (A guy whose name I forget) and Nomad, a former missile AI
   transplanted into the body of a stuffed animal.

   When I say that the theoretically have the mission of recovering lost
   technology, I want to point out that they spend very few episodes
   actually trying to accomplish that task. Each of the 13 minute
   episodes is devoted to some short comic plot, like them trying to save
   the local pizza place, dealing with "comic assassins" whose mission it
   is to make the stoic Vanilla smile, or learning to cook something new.
   Besides, with Milfuelle's luck, they're more likely to find a pile of
   gold bars then the lost technology they seek.

   GA is a pure comedy that worked out fairly well. Don't look for deep
   meaning here in the first season however. I'll rate it pretty good,
   and point out that I plan to watch the second season. (I believe
   they're currently showing a fourth season of GA in Japan.)
