   The January thaw has finally arrived and the streets are a mess.
   Actually, the sidewalks in Minneapolis (and my driveway) are even
   worse, so I'm doing most of my walking in the streets.
   At least it's melting. I note that we began getting 10 hours of
   daylight on Thursday.
