   Mega-Honker II, the forecasted $5 billion State budget deficit, should
   force some obvious decisions.
   One should be an immediate hold on passenger rail projects, all of
   them, including the Central Corridor, Northstar Commuter, and the
   train to nowhere (Duluth). If you (a Legislator) can't put these all
   on hold for two years, you just aren't serious about solving this
   problem.
   If you (a Legislator) vote for even a dollar more of spending on our
   bloated higher education system (the U, MnScu), you just aren't
   serious, either.
   Sounds like a Jeff Foxworthy bit, like "if your front porch collapses
   and kills more than three dogs, you might be a redneck!" What's the
   political equivalent of redneck here?
