   Is no way to go through life, son." Something about this election
   season that makes me think of Animal House. What is it? It's the blind
   cheering of the masses when they are told that they have to give up
   heat, food and happiness for the greater good, so the world will like
   us again. Fuck the rest of the world!

   I swear I'm half expecting Obama, or in this instance let's call him
   Dean Wormer, to start telling crowds that America is on DOUBLE SECRET
   PROBATION! And the crowd will naturally cheer like a bunch of
   simpering Neidermeyers and Marmalards.

     âWe canât drive our SUVs and eat as much as we want and keep our
     homes on 72 degrees at all times ⦠and then just expect that other
     countries are going to say OK...That's not leadership. That's not
     going to happen." [1]---Barack Obama

   According to [2]Al at Cold Fury:

     He just told his core supporters that theyâre fat dumb and happy,
     and that heâs going to do something about the fat and happy, and
     they cheered for him. The Federal power to control your diet and
     house temperature comes straight from the Grapefruit Diet Clause of
     the Constitution, which is in the 53rd Amendment, which also
     establishes the Right to Free Health Care and its companion piece
     (and some would say necessary precursor), the Right to
     Consequence-Free Sex.

     It tells you something about the Obama supporters that he just
     promised to make them cold and hungry in order to win the approval
     of some vaporous guy known as âworld opinion,â and theyâre still
     orgasmic over the him, perhaps even moreso.

   When I read or talk to Obama supporters, Michel de Montaigne's quote
   always pops into my head.

     I prefer the company of peasants because they have not been
     educated sufficiently to reason incorrectly.

   You cannot reason with some people and the hardest to reach with
   common sense are those "educated" liberals bent on saving us from
   ourselves. They simply can't see reason. They also don't understand
   irony but that is another blog post all by itself.
