   Over at [1]Dean's they are were talking torture. This is torture, that
   is torture, blah blah blah...

   Everyone has a qualifier about what is or isn't torture. Let's put
   aside the obvious things that everyone can say without hesitation is
   torture. It gets sticky for some when you say playing music or dogs
   barking is torture. Some will say that that is only discomfort. Sure,
   it's uncomfortable but torture isn't only applied to the body, it is
   used on the mind too. Listening to music may annoy you but if you've
   been kept awake for 36 hours, with naps being allowed for 5 minute
   intervals a handful of times, that annoying music has gone from
   annoying to torture.

   If you think it isn't torture just because you've not left a mark, you
   have never been married...
