   On June 22, 2007, I posted a piece about the [2]"Haditha Massacre".
The MSM press would agree with this characterization found at
   [3]Wikipedia:

The Haditha killings (also called the Haditha massacre) refers to
the incident where up to 24 Iraqi noncombatant civilians were
allegedly massacred by the United States Marines on November 19,
2005 in Haditha, a city in the western Iraqi province of Al Anbar.
Some allege the killings were retribution for the attack on a
convoy of United States Marines with an improvised explosive device
which killed Lance Corporal Miguel Terrazas.

Well guess what? It didn't happen as Phil Brennan at NewsMax.com
reported. And now again from NewsMax: [4]Charges for Haditha
   Investigator Dropped

The Marine Corps has dropped all charges against a captain accused
of failing to investigate the deaths of 24 civilians and another
Marine accused in some of the killings, the Corps announced
     Thursday.

I was sure the MSM would correct their original stories along with Rep
Murtha issuing an apology. I Googled Haditha and found out that the LA
Times said [5]Marine cleared in killing of Iraqis , Reuters said
[6]Charges dismissed against two Marines in Haditha case, ABC News
said [7]Marine's Murder Charges Dropped, etc., but I see no mention of
the story from the Washington Post, or Time or The Nation, who ran the
[8]Beauchamp story, The NY Times or US Representative John Murtha
   (D-PA).

I did see this good piece of news [9]Marine Names Murtha in Defamation
   Suit in the Washington Post.

A Marine Corps staff sergeant who led the squad accused of killing
two dozen civilians in Haditha, Iraq, will file a lawsuit today in
federal court in Washington claiming that Rep. John P. Murtha
(D-Pa.) defamed him when the congressman made public comments about
     the incident earlier this year.

This post is out there Congressman Murtha should apologize or resign,
or both. at [10]9/11 Families for a Safe & Strong America.

   Indeed!
