   The value of the Life, Liberty and Property group is to alert us to
   this kind of nonsense: (Thanks to [1]Constitution Death Pool)

     A recently [2]enacted law allows county prosecutors, the state
     attorney general, or, as a last resort, alleged victims to ask
     judges to civilly declare someone to be a sex offender even when
     there has been no criminal verdict or successful lawsuit.

   An alleged victim can ask to have someone delared a sex offender
   without a trial! And... is ":sex offender" defined or is up to a judge
   to decide the definition?
