   Liberals want to turn everything into a disease the better to usher in
   their therapeutic society. I exaggerate, but only slightly, and in the
   direction of an important truth. So it is encouraging to know that
   there are people like Herbert Fingarette who are both (i) in academe,
   and (ii) capable of talking sense. So what happens to him? He gets
