I Really Don't See Any Evidence...

...that Hillary Clinton is more dishonest than the average human
   being.

And when the evidence thrown at me is silly, trivial things like using
a bad fake accent, or falsly believing you were named after someone
you weren't, I'm barely more sympathetic to it than I am to the
hateful, hurtful, demeaning "Bush lied about weapons of mass
destruction" garbage that's done so much to pollute our national
   dialogue the last few years.

Any possibility here Hillary honestly believed she was named after
Edmund Hillary? Anyone else here ever slip randomly into a bad
   imitation of an accent?

Has anyone here been followed around for hours at a time, years at a
time, by people who hate them looking for any 5-30 second blip looking
for any inconsistency, stupidity, or nose-pick in order to prove their
thesis that you're a moral leper?

Bill Clinton was an unusually good liar, mostly because he had an
excess of an ability we all have--to believe his own lies. I have
never met a human being who didn't have that trait but he had it in
spades. I think it was as much a symptom of titanic ego (pretty much
needed by anyone who gets elected President) and a mind both extremely
intelligent and extremely flexible at once (an unusual combination).
It led not just to an at times destructive glibness, but also a
tendency to believe multiple contradictory ideas before breakfast.

Dishonest? Not particularly. Not that I've seen, and I am so far not
impressed by the evidence before me. Whatcha got next? Did she once
got caught writing "Mrs. John F. Kennedy" on her papers while she was
a schoolgirl? Did she ever suggest she wore shoes two sizes smaller
   than she actually does?

Hillary is not Bill. She has neither his overabundance of charisma nor
his overabundance of flightiness. She's got a mind like a steel trap.
She's a bit cold, which will serve a President well in her situation.
Her unfortunate tendency to demonize her opponents in inappropriate
ways is way less extreme than others who've served in the office--I
may not like it but there are worse traits in a chief executive.

Give me something more, people. Tawdry I understand as an objection,
   but dishonest I don't because I don't see it.
