   This partially explains why it's virtually impossible for Catholic,
   Orthodox, or even most mainline Protestants to have a sensible
   conversation about almost anything in the Bible with evengelical
   fundamentalists. While they hold certain beliefs in common, there is
   such a vast gulf between evangelical fundamentalists and the
   overwhelming majority of Christians worldwide.
