   I'm quite proud to announce that Dean's World will be hosting the
   Carnival of Islam in the West this week, during the opening of the
   Islamic holy time of Ramadan. As a Christian who does not accept
   Islam, I nevertheless am happy to help give a human face to a full
   sixth of the human race, and a people who fully believe they worship
   the same God as the Jews and Christians, and most of whom quite
   obviously share most of the same values as what we call the
   "Judeo-Christian tradiition."

   Dave Schuler will be doing the compiling because I'm up to my ears in
   alligators still, but I'm still proud we'll be doing it. Hopefully
   Dave will be able to get it done by Thursday, but we'll be having it
   up regardless.
