   Got up early to see meteor showers, but the moon's too bright and it's
   just too danged hot out there!

   Anyway, I happened to get an e-mail from classmates.com, which
   reminded me that last year I'd started to plan a 40th reunion for the
   Class of 1969 in Laughlin NV. This was because I was sure there are
   quite a number of Clarenceville High School alumni out here in the
   West.

   I was right, but at the time none of the hotels would even think about
   an event in 2009.

   Well, now it's edging into 2008, so I figure it's a good time to start
   gauging interest again. In the meantime, though, the event has become
   a sort of meta-reunion, since I've encountered a number of people from
   neighboring schools, such as Farmington, Redford, Redford Union, etc.
   Not to mention others who attended CHS in different years.

   Now it's become Class of 1969 and Friends, because it didn't seem
   hospitable to exclude anybody who might want to be there. So if you
   are one of those, please e-mail me at the link over there on the left.
   Once I've collected a bunch of responses, I'll launch a blog so
   everybody can be informed.

   Now to other things...

   There's still time to get over to Gather and vote for my book. Yeah, I
   know, they make you join up, but it is free, and they don't ask for
   any demographics, or your favorite cheese, or any of that. Thing is,
   I've just got a few votes, when I need hundreds!

   What you do is [1]go here, and try to "rate the article." Then you'll
   be directed to a page to sign in. Remember, only the 10 votes count,
   don't ask me why. No need to comment even, if you don't care to. Of
   course it'd be lovely if you do. ;>)
