Plame Not Going Away (But Probably Should)

Apparently still furious that someone dared notice her daily commute
to Langley after she sent her husband on a CIA trip about which he
wrote an incredibly inaccurate and highly political op-ed in the
nation's largest newspaper while employed by a national political
campaign (and then joined aforementioned hubby for a [1]meeting with a
nationally syndicated columnist), Valerie Plame says she's [2]not
going to quietly fade away after being [3]dragged kicking and
screaming into the limelight:
Touring in support of a new memoir, the former CIA operative said
in a speech Sunday that she and husband Joseph Wilson have left
Washington behind but have no intention of keeping quiet about the
way they say they were retaliated against by the White House and
others.
"They would like nothing more for us to than be silent and go away.
We are not going to give them the satisfaction," said Plame.
Au contraire! Your detractors love hearing everything about you!
For instance, it's just recently been [4]confirmed by CBS that you
[5]helped Iran build nuclear weapons:
Operation Merlin backfired when the Russian scientist noticed the
flaws and pointed them out to the Iranians. Instead, the book
alleges, it may have accelerated Iran's nuclear program by
providing useful information, once the flaws were identified.
Apparently Plame was just as bad at the actual spy stuff as she was at
keeping her identity secret.
Sigh. You just can't make this stuff up.
