A Good Day In Iraq

How good do things have to be for the news media to print [1]this
   headline?

Iraq sees dramatically low death toll
BAGHDAD - The civilian death toll in Iraq fell to its lowest level
in recent memory Saturday, with only four people killed or found
dead nationwide, according to reports from police, morgue officials
     and credible witnesses.
     ...
Saturday's decline in deaths was in line with a sharp drop in
September of both Iraqi civilian and U.S. military fatalities.

   More days like this, please.
The media tend to mark events from the 2003 invasion, so while the
fact will probably go largely unnoticed and unremarked upon, we should
keep in mind that given Saddam's incessant invasions, civil wars, and
day-to-day police state brutality this might well be the most peaceful
day Iraq has had in decades.
