Giuliani's Lead Solidifying?

He's [1]up 11 in national polling now on Rasmussen, where he had
trailed Thompson earlier. And his [2]RCP average lead is back in
   double digits.
Rasmussen had been an outlier in that respect, with most other polls
showing Giuliani clearly ahead, so maybe this is just a correction.
Can Giuliani build on this to achieve Hillaryesque inevitability?
Probably not, even with some [3]prized endorsements; some in the base
are near revolt. The GOP race will go till Super Mega Ultra Tuesday at
least, and at that point we'll find out whether Mitt Romney has any
national appeal at all (imho, Southern and Western Republicans will
not warm to him much), and whether Fred can rally enough support
beyond the South to mount a serious challenge, or even keep campaign
   event audiences awake.
I have to agree with Dean, Hillary is doing all the right things. I
like her about as much as I could like any Dem candidate. It's barely
possible I could support her over Romney or Thompson, if she keeps
moving toward the center (although, I'm reading Hayek's [4]The Road To
Serfdom now, so that may sway me a bit...).
