   Well, [1]this certainly alters the debate:

     Marijuana Cuts Lung Cancer Tumor Growth In Half, Study Shows
     ScienceDaily (Apr. 17, 2007) â The active ingredient in marijuana
     cuts tumor growth in common lung cancer in half and significantly
     reduces the ability of the cancer to spread, say researchers at
     Harvard University who tested the chemical in both lab and mouse
     studies.

   It's been well-established for some time that marijuana does not cause
   cancer, at least not at anything near the rate of tobacco, but the
   idea it actually reduces lung cancer is pretty astounding.
   Hmmm, maybe I need to consider doing more personal cancer-fighting,
   though perhaps [2]one recreational cancer-suppressing drug is enough.
