   The New York Police Department [1]placed various political groups
   under surveillance from October 2003 through the Republican National
   Convention in August 2004.

   What groups do you think were under surveillance? Islamic fronts?
   militant political groups? nope.. try Grandmothers Against War, the
   cartoonist Ted Rall, the NYC Independent Media Center, and even MSNBC,
   among others.
