Here are my notes more or less as I wrote them while watching:

I'm not a big Gibb Brothers fan and never have been. This night is
   probably gonna suck.

Melinda: "Inside & Out" A strange song choice. I thought she wrung
what she could out of it but it was pretty weak by her standards.

Judges all basically agree. Even Paula couldn't be positive on it.

Blake: "You Should Be Dancing" Ugh, that's not a solo number. He
starts out sounding thin and annoying. Man I hate this, the endless
falsetto is icky. He's doing okay I guess. The ending where he broke
his voice up a bit was interesting.

I think I'm going to hate every minute of tonight.

Randy: That didn't work dawg. Paula: Says it started shaky and
off-pitch. Simon says it was absolutely terrible.

Lakisha: "Stayin' Alive." Well she starts it out with a nice soulful
opening, but once she hits the chorus it turns lame. Like Bee Gees or
not, soaring harmonies define them and that's not what Lakisha does.
   This is slow and lame.

Randy says it was weird and didn't work. Paula says she's taken the
tempo down. Simon says "no kiss tonight baby."

Jordin: For some reason I suspect Jordin may give a better performance
than the other three. I think she's got that youthful energy thing and
   it might help her.

She does "To Love Somebody." Well, maybe I'm right. She chose a torch
song. Smart move, a song that isn't based on soaring harmonies. She
gives it a great delivery. For the first time I think she might
   actually deserve to win this.

Randy: Says it's the best vocal so far. He's right. Paula: It is the
best vocal so far tonight. Simon: Best song choice, best performance
   so far.

   Okay, second round now:

Melinda: "How Can You Mend A Broken Heart." Gawd, this is slow and
dull. Worst I've ever seen Melinda, and she's been my favorite from
the beginning. For the first time I wonder if she's going home. She
manages to lift it up with a big note near the end and by picking up
the tempo a little. But it was just a mess, especially the ending.

Randy says great song, great delivery. Paula says it was a beautiful
vocal. Simon says the second half of the song put her into the
   semi-finals.

Blake: "This Is Where I Came In" Don't know the song. Gibb is excited
by his choice of song, interestingly enough. I don't even know it.
Starts out boring as hell. I kind of like his jazzing it up though. On
the other hand, it's endlessly uninteresting. Wow that was boring.
What was it, a half hour long? Yeesh.

Randy says he should stop beatboxing so much. Paula says he's the
"contemporary rebel" in the competition. Simon says he found it
completely tuneless and he can't say these have been good
   performances.

Lakisha: I don't even know the song title and I don't care. Man this
night is suckage. She gives whatever this song is some kind of
apparently sincere delivery. During the last third of the song she
tries to kick it up a few notches. I guess it was effective. To
   anybody left who cares.

Randy says it was much better than the first choice and it was good.
Paula says don't beat yourself up. Simon says it was better than the
first but he's thinking she or Blake are going home.

Jordin & Melinda: My DVR screwed up and I didn't get to see her or
Melinda's last performances. Why do I think that's an act of mercy?

   Man that episode sucked.

What did you think? Any comment on the last two numbers?
