   I'll bet you didn't know that the above headline is what this
   well-known song is actually about:

   But it is. Just ask the Greeks. Or Dick Dale, whose family hails from
   Lebanon. "Miser" means "Egypt" and a "lou" is a Muslim girl.

   Did you ever imagine that the quintessential American "surf guitar"
   song turns out to be a Greek folk song dedicated to an Egyptian
   Muslima? And a Quentin Tarantino favorite?

   The world is an astonishing place at times, isn't it?
