Carnival of the Liberated
http://www.deanesmay.com/posts/1178631595.shtml
Welcome to the Carnival of the Liberated, a sampler of some of the
best posts of the week from Iraqi and Afghan bloggers. This week we've
got fighting in Diwaniyah, Iraqis that are pro- and anti-withdrawal,
new Iraqi blogs, and much, much more.
[1]Afghan Warrior posts on the abduction of foreigners by the Taliban
in Afghanistan.
Lots more on the Iraqi Oil Agreement at [2]Al-Ghad.
[3]Baghdad Connect posts about Jalil Ahmed Haboush. Who is that, you
say? Read on.
[4]Roads to Iraq sees a lot of questionable stuff in the reports that
leaders of al-Qaeda in Iraq have been killed.
As usual I agree completely with [5]Iraqi Konfused Kid's
characterizations of pro- and anti-withdrawal Iraqis. I can't quite
tell whether [6]Hammorabi is in category 3 or 6. I hope not 5. The
guys at [7]ITM are clearly anti-withdrawal folks of the second sort,
unfortunately, as IKK says, extremely rare.
Check out [8]Iraqiya's post on fighting in Diwaniyah and the Mahdi
Army.
[9]Marshmallow46 posts on American reality programs.
[10]Iraq Blog Count takes note of a new Iraqi blog which they
characterize as the "most sectarian blog ever": [11]The Shaqawa, the
malignance. There's also [12]Great Baghdad, a journalist's blog.
Dave Schuler posts regularly to his own weblog, [13]The Glittering
Eye. The Carnival was originally conceived by Ryan Boots.
