   I admit to being particularly ignorant regarding the war. I do this on
   purpose, because I'm old enough to remember Vietnam, and I work in a
   library serving Marines.

   So I've stayed far away from any discussion of the war.

   But I was just watching a news channel on TV, and it seems like
   Congress wants to de-fund the military's operations overseas.

   I do know my history, though, and watching the Democrats preen
   themselves in their announcement of their bill to stop funding put me
   in mind of the British Parliament in the late 1930s, when everybody
   thought Hitler was a charming fellow.

   Please correct me if I'm wrong.  This is, after all, just a funny
   feeling I have.
