The Council Has Spoken!
http://www.deanesmay.com/posts/1173451866.shtml
The Watcher's Council has announced its picks for the most outstanding
posts of the preceding week. The winning Council post was
[1]Joshuapundit's post, âBetween Iraq and a Hard PlaceâWhy We Went,
How It Got So Screwed Up, and Where We're GoingâPart 2â. I disagree
with Freedom Fighter's interpretation of events in a number of
particulars and we have a side-bet going on U. S. withdrawal from Iraq
but it's certainly a thought-provoking post. Second place honors went
to [2]Right Wing Nut House's âDeath of a Titanâ. Rick Moran's
reflections on the death of historian Arthur Schlesinger are
definitely worth reading.
The winning non-Council post was [3]Websurdity's post, âUncomfortable
Question: Was the Death Star Attack an Inside Job?â. Tied for second
place were [4]SWJ Blog's post, âIraq Trip Reportâ (dry title; probably
the best status report on Iraq this year from any source) and
[5]KerplunkâShaken Not Stirred's, â10 Institutions That Ruin the
Worldâ#1â. I can't say I'm in complete agreement with this post, a
pillorying of the UN, but, obviously, some Council members disagree
with me.
The complete results are [6]here.
A position on the Watcher's Council has become available. If you have
a blog, consider applying. The rules [7]are here.
