   It's a program from the 'left' side but thought there might be people

     Following a short news break Ian and I will begin the second
     segment with a discussion with Ali Eteraz on, as he writes:

     [We need to discuss] how Islamic reform -- both in the Western
     communities and in the Muslim world -- engages with the Western
     Left. The western left has not shown any interest (and has had a
     lot of reluctance in being paitned as interventionists) they have
     let genuine Muslim reformers fall to the wayside, who are then
     picked up by Fox news, right wing rags and islamophobes. All of
     this ignorance towards the muslim reformer runs COUNTER to the Left
     legacy in the Cold War where it was the western left (or was it NOT
     the Western Left?) that promoted people like Solzhenytsin and
     others?

     I'm very much looking forward to this.
