   Pew Research has a fascinating [1]PDF-based report on world attitudes
   toward great powers, including the United States. Unsurprisingly,
   world opinion about the US has declined somewhat in recent years. But
   that's been true of all the great powers.

   Glenn Greenwald, a professional leftist polemicist (part of a growing
   group of professional bloggers who make their livings riding a single
   popular left-wing or right-wing hobby-horse: hatred of Democrats,
   hatred of Republicans, hatred of the President, hatred of Muslims,
   etc. and who use their blogs along with books and other things as part
   of their incomes in their chosen hatred-and-paranoia game of choice)
   blames this whole thing on Bush. Tigerhawk, more of a traditional
   blogger, [2]has a much more nuanced and thoughtful look.

   But then, you can read the Pew report and decide for yourself.
