   Jonah Goldberg has a pretty good piece up on how Americans are odd for
   thinking that worrying about preserving a common culture by limiting
   certain types of immigrants is odd. That it's normal pretty much
   everywhere else in the world for people to make such arguments when
   arguing about immigration policy. Quote:

     Indeed, throughout the industrialized world, it's considered normal
     to talk about one's national character and culture. Nowhere else is
