   A James L. Taylor claims much of what Al Gore asserts about global
   warming is [1]contradicted by scientific studies.
   It's become pretty clear that An Inconvenient Truth was much more of a
   polemic than a scientific documentary. Is Al Gore morphing into
   Michael Moore? An assault on reason indeed.
   I'm not sure politicians and polemicists really even believe in the
   concept of seeking objective truth (as opposed to promoting causes
   through which they can mobilize support and acquire lucre for the one
   agenda they really believe in: themselves) which is another reason why
   their claims always require extra scrutiny.
