   Someone challenged me why moderate muslims don't succeed at convincing
   the radicals to lay down their violent interpretations of the Qur'an.
   The answer is simple: they are radicals. Why bother? Just kill them if
   they try to kill you. Otherwise let them rant in their dank corners.

   It's wierd how people make moderate muslims out to be lying taqqiya
   con artists and make fanatics out to be totally rational people who
   would become innocent doves of peace if only those conniving moderates
   would just get their act together!

   I'm not interested in debating Islam, or helping some one understand
   it, or talking to a lunatic (of any stripe). I'm certainly not going
   to lose sleep if someone visits eteraz.org and dismisses the whole
   thing after nutpicking some diarists. As far as I am concerned, if you
   are worried about moderate vs fanatic Islam, it's YOUR job to do due
   diligence and make the effort to find out. There are [1]four years of
   public archives here to help you get started as background material;
   then go [2]here, register, and join the community with respect and
   genuine desire for discussion, not debate.

   Or just take the easy route, google search a few refs, limit yourself
   to the jafisphere, and be content with your fears. It's your choice.
