   It appears he has, in fact, [1]been located.
   So we can now upgrade this from a false story from a source that no
   one can find to a false story from a source that has finally turned up
   after months of public ridicule and a screwup by a government that is,
   in their defense, only a couple years old.
   Preictably, the AP is already [2]declaring themselves vindicated, but
   the reality is they have already admitted they botched this story by
   changing their initial report from four mosques to one, and it still
   seems extremely unlikely anyone was actually set on fire, given that
   the only "evidence" is second-hand rumors. Given their high-handed
   attitude thus far, I'm sure the AP will now claim victory and totally
   ignore the remaining problems with the actual story itself; this is
   called "arguing the strongest point of a weak case" and is a fine
   debating tactic but lousy journalism. I very much doubt the actual
   facts of the case will ever get cleared up.
   But stay tuned. There are a [3]lot of questions for Jamil, such as:

     How is it that Hussein was able to comment on attacks all over
     Baghdad, including some far away from his precinct?

   I have a feeling the answer will be: he was just repeating what he
   heard, which is probably why the ISF don't want police captains
   talking to the media in the first place, and which would point again
   to the shoddy and unreliable nature of the AP's reporting from Iraq.
