   Melanie Phillips notes some [1]courageous Muslims in Britain fighting
   Salafist-style radicalism.

   While certain pompous Christian bigots and certain fulminating
   right-wingers will of course claim it to be just "more taqiyya,"
   sensible people who actually want to win the war on terror will note
   it as still more in the mountain of evidence that our best allies are
   the Muslim mainstream.

   Or they would be, if certain people would stop spitting on them--and
   certain other people, as Phillips notes, would stop culturally
   cringing and pretending that terrorism is something caused by our
   foreign policy and our evil Western way of life.
