One drummer. One bass player. One guitarist. Live. No dubbing or
   studio tricks:

A recent YouTube discovery. I wish I knew where it came from.

As a point of reference, my 25 month old son Draco walked up to me
while I was listening to this--with the speakers turned up full
blast--eating a Hunter Sausage. (Think a Slim Jim but meatier.) And he
stared at the screen mesmerized for a moment or two, then looked at me
with the biggest grin ever on his face.

   Priceless.

He apparently liked "Third Stone" a bit better than "Little Wing."
FWIW. Damn I wish it didn't cut off in the middle like that.

My favorite SRV is this recording by the way: [1]Live at the El
Macambo, recorded live in a small Canadian club and cut just before he
got big, maybe 12 years before his tragic helicopter crash death. If
you like live guitar music, you should buy it. And if anyone utters
the words "hot dog" in your presence you should hit them with a brick.

It's hard for me to describe just how deeply this kind of music moves
me. I think it's akin to how most Opera lovers love Opera. Most people
don't get it I guess. Oh well.

By the way, it's wrong to describe one artist as an "imitator" if she
or he does a cover of another artist's song. Totally wrong. It's a
statement of respect and admiration when you do that. I give you as
   evidence this:

Which is also one drummer, one bass player, and one lead guitarist by
the way. The director is not as sophisticated, as it was cut many
years earlier, but the music was priceless. And it's also a Bob Dylan
song, in case you didn't know. Captured live and with no studio
   trickery.

I remember more than ten years ago talking to my friend Brian Pietrzak
(who I long ago lost track of) and telling him I thought Jimi Hendrix
might be over-rated. He immediately said, without hesitation, "not
   possible."

Yeah. He was right. I don't think Leo Fender could have even conceived
what might be done with his instrument.

If you "get" this music at all, you should [2]buy this DVD.
