   It's pretty cold here in Michigan; 2 degrees F, with a wind chill of
   about -13. Although, to my shock, they've closed most of the schools
   in the area because of the cold.

   Not that there's a lot of snow. In fact it's not snowing at all, and
   maybe there's a quarter inch of accumulation on the ground. The winds
   are moderate, not heavy. But they're closing the schools.

   Rose and I are scratching our heads. We remember going to school on
   days this cold or colder. If there wasn't at least 5 or 6 inches of
   snowfall overnight, there were never any "snow days."

   The times do change, don't they?
