Giuliani Ambles Closer To Running

   It's [1]not quite official, but close:

     In a sign that he's serious about running for the White House, the
     two-term mayor was filing a so-called "statement of candidacy" with
     the Federal Election Commission. In the process, he was eliminating
     the phrase "testing the waters" from earlier paperwork establishing
     his exploratory committee, said an official close to Giuliani's
     campaign.

   I generally agree with Rudy's liberal views on gay rights, but
   generally disagree with his illiberal views on gun rights; we'll see
   if he embraces a states'-rights view of those matters for the
   Presidential primary, as seems likely. His [2]work as mayor reducing
   crime and improving quality of life in New York and his leadership on
   9/11 are a great argument for his potential effectiveness as the chief
   executive of the country.
   But if I'm honest with myself, the moment I began supporting a Rudy
   candidacy is [3]here. This is a guy who truly groks the value of
   freedom.
