   As someone who left home at the age of 15, I find the growing
   phenomenon of what are called [1]emerging adults fascinating. I don't
   relate to it exactly, but demographically it appears to be correct,
   and seems to match much of what I've seen in young people these days.

   Anyone looking for why sex outside of marriage is so much more common
   nowadays if they think "declining morals" and birth control are the
   primary cause of the phenomenon. The fact that we no longer live in a
   society that expects people to be married before the age of 18 has a
   lot more to do with it I'd think.
