   The vast majority of the world's Christians celebrate a season called
   "Advent" at this time of year, including Catholics and most of the
   older mainline Protestant groups. The church in the East celebrates
   the season, but at a slightly different time. The Anchoress, who's
   obviously got a gift for words, has a [1]lovely meditation upon the
   season.
