Hypocrisy On Waterboarding and "Torture"
http://www.deanesmay.com/posts/1197228017.shtml
[1]Not a word of this surprises me.
I knew people who were absolutely on board with interrogation
techniques far more genuinely torture-oriented a few years ago who now
routinely accuse the Bush administration of "unprecedented"
(hahahahaha!) "torture" because of minorly discomforting things like
waterboarding (yes I said minor, and yes, I openly volunteer to be
waterboarded by any professionals willing to do it to me--and that
remains an open offer) and act like they invented whole new things
that previous administrations in fact did.
So, learning that current congressional leadership is a bunch of lying
hypocrites who wanted more torture than they now accuse the Bush
administration of? I have zero problem believing that. At all. Hell,
even Al Gore was for extraordinary rendition before he was against it.
