   I was pleased this morning to take part in a blogger's roundtable
   hosted by Major General Michael D. Jones on the situation in Iraq.
   What's pretty clear to those who are over there that there's been
   massive turnaround on the situation in Iraq, so remarkably so that
   it's beyond what anybody would have predicted even a year ago. There's
   still a problem with corruption and with bureaucratic officials who
   lack experience in the Iraqi government, but, according to the
   General, progress on both of those fronts is also excellent and
   there's much reason for hope. They even have an anonymous tipline for
   Iraqis to use now to report corruption, and it's being used.

   I frankly suspect that Dave Price was right the other day, and that
   down the line what we're going to be hearing is that it was a foregone
   conclusion all along that freedom would succeed in Iraq.
