   It's not just The New Republic and the Beauchamp affair. [1]Just look
   at what was published in The Nation.

   As someone who's known many, many veterans, I'm often appalled by how
   quick certain people are--especially media elites--to believe the
   absolute worst about the U.S. military.

   I can understand how people who grew up under military dictatorships
   might be faster to accept such things, but people born and raised
   here?
