   I remember well when "MoveOn.org" got started. They claimed to be a
   "non-partisan" (HA!!!!!) organization that just wanted to "move on"
   from Clinton's sex scandals and get on with the business of
   government. Which seemed like a very defensible position at the time
   (this was more than ten years ago). But by the year 2000 it became
   clear what they really were: shrill and often incredibly mean and
   nasty hard-left partisans.

   Which is fine. There are shrill and often incredibly mean and nasty
   hard-right partisans too. I can dig it. But the pose of
   "non-partisanship" and "centrism" was a lie from the beginning. At
   least these days they rarely make that pretense, although they still
   rely on the bogeyman of the "radical right" to drive their lucrative
   fundraisers.

   Anyway, it looks like the "MoveOn" hard-left hatemongers are gearing
   up to do their best to cut the legs out from under General Petreus and
   the Iraqi people. [1]a group of Iraqi war veterans and retired
   military folks are gearing up to take these people on. I encourage you
   to support them.
