It's [1]not a bad gig, being an insurance company like Chubb.
Sometimes regulated is a nice thing to be.

Not only is it a nice living, but you have tremendous power over other
people. And over whom would you, if you were an insurance company,
enjoy most to exercise that power over? How about the people who try
to get you to actually pay claims -- the class that's nearly as widely
despised, or perhaps more so, than an insurance company? Of course, I
   mean lawyers.

Any excuse to deny coverage -- either under a policy, or in the
binding of a policy that could conceivably not fit into a predictable
income stream profile according to the underwriters -- will do. Here's
a new one: Blogging. Does blogging make a law firm uninsurable? Well,
according to a report in the New Jersey Law Journal, [2]Chubb thinks
   so.

In fact, most states require most lawyers to have malpractice
insurance. What if this becomes a trend -- what if you're a lawyer,
and your career depends on giving up law-blogging? And what if you
believe [3]your career depends on continuing law-blogging?

This seems to be an isolated incident. As the first time for anything
   is.
