   Sarah Baxter writes in the Sunday Times about [1]Rudy Giuliani's
   rising star in Republican politics.

   As usual for those commenting on this, she notes that he's hugely
   popular with conservative Republicans, but warns that his social views
   may turn them off.

   I continue to think that this business about his social views is
   mostly overhyped--probably to his favor. There are only two or three
   things he has to tell conservatives about that, and so long as they
   believe he's sincere and will keep his word, they'll vote for him.
   Those things are:

   1) As Mayor of New York I had one view about guns, but having
   travelled around this country I've had a change of heart about that.

   2) On issues like gay marriage or abortion, I think those are states
   rights issues.

   3) I pledge to appoint conservative judges who know their job is to
   interpret the law not legislate from the bench.

   Bang. He'll be in like Flint.
