A disturbance in the force

In the last few days there's been something going on the Iraqi
blogosphere that I think is unprecedented. Upset by Omar of [1]Iraq
the Model's response to the recent Lancet study (Omar thought little
of it), [2]Konfused Kollege Kid did a mass emailing to the other Iraqi
bloggers to get their reactions. Roughly 30 of them responded and
their responses are reported in the linked post. There's some
divergence of opinion but most take sides against ITM.
The post is worth reading if only to get a snapshot of the Iraqi
blogosphere as it is today.
In a related development, [3]Treasure of Baghdad has polled 16 Iraqi
bloggers, asking four questions:
* When have you started blogging?
* How did your perceptions change since?
* Compared to the current situation in Iraq, how different was it
before the war?
* Do you think the war was worth it or not? Why?
Check it out. There are some interesting observations and, I suspect,
many that you will not agree with. You might also see why Zappy of
[4]Where Date Palms Grow is rapidly becoming a favorite of mine.
