   Celia's got a remarkable article on modern-day scientific dissidence.
   The opening paragraphs are [1]right here, but I recommend making the
   time to sit down and read [2]the complete PDF. Every page of it's
   worth reading--especially as regards the increasingly corrupt nature
   of the "peer review" process in funding grant applications, which is
   clearly broken in more than one area of the sciences

   . (Peer review itself isn't broken, but the "peer review" of funding
   is. Not everywhere, but in multiple fields.)
