   The Andrews Sisters made a series of V-discs in the early 1940s, along
   with countless other artists. The "V" stood for Victory. There was not
   one word about Franklin Roosevelt or the Democrats. Although they did
   control Congresss and the White House, that didn't matter. What
   mattered was that America was at war and they knew whose side they
   were on: America's.
