   recorded decades after the original:

   Now, whether you like the song or not, here is the trivia question:

   This song was originally written and recorded for a person who happens
   to still be alive today. Minnie Riperton unfortunately died in 1979
   from breast cancer. But this song was for a person who is still
   moderately well known.

   Now without cheating (like checking Google or Wikipedia) can you name
   who it was for?
