Prominent Islamic Lawyer and Professor on Arab Reform

   I intended at Eteraz.Org to create a community for average people to
   talk about and take action on Islam, peppered with visits by VIP's.
   Eteraz.Org's first VIP poster is [1]Professor Mohammad Fadel of the
   University of Toronto School of Law. He is both an incredibly
   accomplished Wall Street lawyer and former judicial clerk and an
   extremely interesting scholar of Islamic Law. His post [2]The Progress
   of Science is incredibly fascinating -- and will be most rewarding to
   those who want to see parallels between America history and the course
   of development in the Muslim world. It's really amazing how he goes
   from the American Tax Code to Liberal Salafism and Beyond.  He says:

     The clergy of the Arab world are too cowed and too insular to be
     able to make a decisive break with the past.

   You are all encouraged to check it out and [3]register in order to
   comment. I think he will be replying to some comments. It isn't every
   day that a Muslim scholar of this caliber comes by a blog.
