   The fact that W turned to Baker and Papa Bush for help on Iraq -- I
   respect that. Part of it has to do with the honesty of the move, and
   part of it has to do with the fact that Papa Bush (in my opinion) had
   a pretty good handle on the ME.

   Also, news from Palestine is that a moderate University of West
   Virginia educated guy named Shabir is probably going to become the
   compromise prime minister. Feel free to look this up on your own.

   Finally, Bush called for global isolation of Iran. Another smart move.
   Iranians I know care very much what the world thinks of them, and that
   seems to be the strategy here.

   Also, one of my favorite Persian-English news sources from Iran has
   been shut down. I'll probably try to get some net activism going on
   this shortly.
