   Right wingers believe that the Terrorists are happy with the results
   of the election, and Rumsfeld's resignation...

   Leftwingers believe that the terrorists are unhappy with the results
   of the election, and that Rumsfeld was an obstacle to winning the
   War...

   Even before that, many on the right believed that Clinton was not
   merely an adulterer, but also a murderer and rapist. It was for those
   sins that he was impeached. The Left not only didn't believe these
   things, many had never heard the accusations.

   Somehow our sense of basic reality has become partisan and divisive.
   This might be the most worrisome trend of all over the last 10 or 15
   years. I wonder what can be done to combat it. After all, if both
   sides have different facts, they can hardly come to a conclusion about
   what policies ought to be implemented...
