   A commenter recently said, "I thought you didn't care what anyone
   thinks."

   Not quite right.

   Honestly, the older I get the less I give a sh*t what anyone thinks of
   me. Furthermore, I don't care how arrogant you find that statement to
   be.

   I am a well-known critic of Ayn Rand, but I do remember a line from
   one of her books, loosely paraphrased, that I have always respected:

   "So what do you think of me?"

   Response:

   "I don't think of you at all."

   I don't give a crap what you think of me. In fact, I'm pretty sure I
   already know what you think of me.

   I just care what you think in general. Because what you think
   influences the world. And if you're sloppy or lazy...?
