   Hey Jimmy, I think it is unfair of you to make [1]this posting at
   JihadWatch without first asking me to clarify my position on verse
   4:34.

   When I stated that Muhammad's life is proof against domestic violence,
   I was not making a legal argument. If you would have but asked me, I
   would have told you that then. Insted you went running to "Dr.
   Spencer." Is he even a Dr., by the way? Does he have a Phd or a
   Master's? (I don't know, that's why I'm asking you).

   Very quickly, my position on 4:34 is that the verb "daraba" permits
   other meanings besides "to beat." Like I told you in the comments
   section before, I will get to my actual take on 4:34 on my own time.
   The fact remains that legally I don't rely on Muhammad's autobiography
   to explain verse 4:34. I try to be consistent in my methodology.

   That's all.
